The South Sudanese-Australian combo guard played his college basketball at the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors after two years at Eastern Florida State.
Madut signed with the South East Melbourne Phoenix of the Australian National Basketball League before joining the Norths Bears for the 2023 NBL1 East season, he scored 50 points in a 113–62 win over the Penrith Panthers.
Madut also featured for Tasmania JackJumpers before heading to Kauhajoen Karhu of the Finnish league.
Madut debuted for the South Sudan national basketball team at AfroBasket 2021 and was named in the South Sudan squad for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
