Manchester Basketball can confirm the signature of American Zak Irvin to the 2024-25 roster.
Zak had a stellar college career with D1 NCAA powerhouse Michigan where he spent four seasons from 2013-2017. He was named as Indiana Mr Basketball and the Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013.
After graduating from Michigan, Zak spent two seasons in the NBA G-League with Westchester Knicks. In 2022 he joined Bank of Taiwan where he had two years ahead of a return to the NBA G-League with Grand Rapids Gold.
“It’s my first time in Manchester. I’m grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to joining the team,” commented Zak
“I’m excited to get started and help my teammates finish strong.”
“We’re really happy to have Zak with us. He’s a talented player who is very versatile on both sides of the court,” commented Coach Callum.
“He also brings with him extensive experience both in the G-League & in his other international stops. We are looking forward to working with him”.
Pending receiving clearance, Zak is due to suit up this week as Manchester face two home games - against Leicester on Wednesday night in the rearranged SLB Cup Quarter Final and against Surrey 89ers on Friday night.
