Manchester fall just short at home as Newcastle Eagles win 89-85.

Makai Ashton-Langford impressed for Manchester as he recorded 25 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists. DJ Mitchell also impressed as he had 19 points and 9 rebounds in the game.

For Newcastle Eagles Mike Okauru who had 32 points in the game.

Manchester started the the game on the front foot and after the first quarter they led 24-15. Despite this Newcastle Eagles were able to fight back momentum in the second quarter and take a lead into halftime. The teams went into halftime with Newcastle Eagles leading 46-42.

Manchester were able to claw back momentum in the third quarter as they levelled the scores between the two teams. The teams headed into the final quarter with the score at 65-65.

Newcastle Eagles had the better of the momentum in the final quarter and ended the game as 89-85 victors.

Manchester are back in action on Friday February 7 as they take on London Lions at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
