The game started as an even contest between the two teams. The first quarter ended with Leicester Riders having a one point lead with the scores at 24-23 to Leicester.
It remained even in the second quarter but Leicester Riders were able to take the momentum into the second half as they etched out a five point lead. The teams headed into halftime with Leicester leading 47-42.
Despite Manchester’s best efforts Leicester Riders were able to extend their lead in the third quarter. The teams headed into the final quarter of the game with Leicester leading 66-56.
Manchester tried to stay with Leicester Riders in the final quarter but Leicester were able to retain their lead. The game ended 85-77 in Leicester’s favour.
Manchester will look to bounce back on Friday January 24 as they take on Surrey 89ers at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
