Manchester fall to an eight point defeat on the road as they fall short against Sheffield Sharks.
Makai Ashton-Langford impressed for Manchester as he recorded 18 points 6 assists and 2 steals in the game.
Donovan Clay starred for Sheffield Sharks as he had a double-double with 18 points 12 rebounds and 3 assists.
It was a low scoring first quarter for both teams. Sheffield Sharks would leave the quarter with the momentum as they lead 16-11.
In the second quarter Sheffield Sharks remained to have the momentum and they were able to stretch out a bigger lead. The teams would head into halftime with Sheffield Sharks leading 48-33.
Manchester were able to claw back the momentum in the third quarter as they reduced the deficit to just five points. The teams headed into the final quarter with Sheffield Sharks leading 62-57.
Despite Manchester’s best efforts Sheffield Sharks were able to keep them at bay and hold on to the lead that they had built in the first half. The game ended with Sheffield Sharks as 83-75 victors.
Manchester are back in action on Sunday February 3 as they face Newcastle Eagles at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
