Manchester fall to a 66-83 defeat against Sheffield.

Danni Williams impressed for Manchester recording 16 points and 4 rebounds. Anastasia Warren also had a good performance recording 12 points and 6 rebounds. Laura Zolper had an impressive outing for Sheffield recording 17 points and 7 assists.

In the first quarter Sheffield managed to build a lead over Manchester. The quarter ended 25-14 in Sheffield’s favour.

Sheffield continued to lead in the second quarter. They extended their lead by two points as they went into halftime with a 43-30 lead.

Sheffield remained on the front foot in the third quarter and extended their lead. The teams headed into the final quarter with Sheffield leading 68-46.

Manchester were able to reduce the deficit by five points in the final quarter but were unable to stop Sheffield. Sheffield ended the game as 83-66 victors.

Manchester will look to bounce back next Saturday as they take on Newcastle Eagles at The National Basketball Performance Centre.
