Manchester make it two in a row as they defeat Leicester Riders at home.
Cody John was the player of the game as he impressed scoring 20 points 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
DJ Mitchell also impressed as he recorded 24 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the game.
Charles Thompson impressed for Leicester Riders as he scored a double-double recording 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Manchester dominated the opening part of the game and were able to build a 14 point lead in the first quarter. They headed to the second quarter with momentum leading 33-19.
Despite Leicester Riders cutting the lead down to nine points in the second quarter. Manchester headed into halftime leading with the scores at 50-41.
The third quarter was an even contest between the two sides. Manchester played at high intensity at both ends of the court as they battled to keep the lead they had built. The teams heading into the final quarter leading 71-62.
Manchester’s hard work in the first quarter building a lead benefitted them throughout the game as they were able to keep Leicester Riders at an arms length. This theme continued in the final quarter as Manchester held Leicester Riders off and came out as 100-93 victors.
Manchester are back in action on Friday March 14 as they face Caledonia Gladiators at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
