Rheanne has coached in the Manchester Met University system as well as being an assistant coach for the professional team.
“We are delighted to announce Rheanne as our new head coach. She has been integral not only to the professional club but across the whole Manchester basketball community, which is really important to us,” commented Dominique Allen.
“We have assembled a great squad, and we are really positive about the future.”
“She’s ready for the challenge and we are excited to see how far we can go.”
The new head coach, who will return to her former club Leicester Riders at the helm of Manchester on Saturday, commented:
“It’s a great opportunity for me to help us mould a fantastic franchise. I have been here in Manchester for a while now and the Manchester Basketball project has so much promise.”
“This club, in achieving its goals, can have a big impact on a lot of people in this area and beyond.”
“We are ambitious and I want to lead this team to its first franchise silverware.”
“We want this club to be successful on the court and also to inspire the community in a positive way off it. We want to inspire girls and boys from this area to take up the game and get involved.”
