Role Description

Senior Executive, Partnerships plays a crucial role in managing and nurturing strategic partnerships to drive business growth. This position involves developing new relationships, maintaining existing partnerships, and aligning these collaborations with the franchise’s goals.

The Senior Executive, Partnerships role is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that align with the franchise's business goals. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to drive mutual growth and maximise the value of partnerships. The Senior Executive will be instrumental in negotiating, executing, driving revenue and maintaining key partnerships across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Strategy & Development:

  • Identify & evaluate potential partners in line with Manchester Basketball’s strategic goals and vision.
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies that drive growth and profitability for both the franchise and partners.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across a wide range of industries.

Negotiation & Deal Making:

  • Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and clear expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during negotiations and agreement executions.

Partnership Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of existing partnerships, ensuring smooth collaboration and consistent value delivery.
  • Track partnership performance, ensuring KPIs and goals are met, and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners, fostering positive long-term relationships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and operations teams to align partnership efforts with the franchise objectives.
  • Support the execution of joint marketing campaigns, co-branded initiatives, and collaborative product launches.
  • Ensure all internal teams are informed about the progress and impact of partnerships.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Prepare regular reports on partnership performance, including revenue impact, growth metrics, and future opportunities.
  • Use data and insights to inform partnership strategies and report outcomes to senior leadership.

Partnership Marketing & Promotion:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement promotional strategies that highlight the value of partnerships.
  • Ensure that partner marketing materials and communications are aligned with brand guidelines and franchise messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 3-6 years) in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances, ideally within a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, with attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Deep understanding of the sports industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience working with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and seize new opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with partnership ecosystems and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling and budgeting related to partnership performance.
  • Experience with global partnerships and international business.
