Head Coach

Manchester Basketball is an established professional basketball club in the UK with a team playing in the Super League Basketball.  

We are looking for a Head Coach (SLB) to further support our Basketball team and build on our on-court success.

To achieve this, we are seeking a Head Coach to oversee all coaching aspects of the basketball program in order attain high level success. The role will be responsible for all program and player management, including and not limited to, practice, workouts, scouting, and on-court coaching

Job Title: Head Coach

Responsible to: General Manager
Contractual Status: Full-time.
Salary: Subject to experience  
Working Pattern: To meet needs of club/team
Closing Date: 1st March  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Coach and work with elite level athletes in order to achieve on-court success
• Facilitate and organise all practices, trainings, and workouts
• Manage, educate, and support a full-time assistant coaching staff
• Support with all logistic and community events  
• Formulate scouting reports via film and analytics
• Assist with player recruitment, both domestically and internationally

Skills / Knowledge required:  

• Previous experience and knowledge:  
• Demonstrated experience with elite level basketball athletes and coaching at a professional level
• Proven leadership experience
• Previous Head Coach experience

• Strong relationship management abilities
• Fluent in written and conversational English
